   I just finished reading Hansen et.al., “Global warming in the pipeline” (2023). I weep for my children and grandchildren and all the others who will suffer from humanity’s inexorable drive to live out of balance with nature. It is fair to say that we couldn’t predict the catastrophic implications of the Industrial Revolution. Now it seems too late. #climatechange

     @meltedcheese @MxVerda @breadandcircuses It's not fair to say we couldn't predict it. A woman (sorry I don't have her name/citation handy) published a paper on it in the 1800s. It's always been that people in power refused to listen to the people who predicted it.
