   @jwildeboer it's this concept that only those jobs that exist now are jobs worth fighting for.
   It plays on existential Angst and therefore is great for politicians to signal how much they care for their constituents.
   I wonder if they did the same for the people building steam boilers for locomotives or sails for tall ships.

     FYI: #Volkswagen, the German car company that is making news because they could close 3 plants and fire 10.000s of workers, made 1.6B € in *profit* on 78.8B € revenue in Q3/24 and paid out 4.5B € in *dividends* for CY23 to shareholders in June this year.
