翠星石 (suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com)'s status on Thursday, 31-Oct-2024 23:11:54 JST 翠星石 @vikingkong Linux is only a kernel and so writing "the Linux kernel" is repeating yourself and furthering a popular error, as you're implying it's more than a kernel (as OS's that don't have a particular name for their kernel use such naming scheme like; the NT kernel).
If you want to stress that Linux is only a kernel, the way to write that is; "Linux, the kernel", or "the kernel, Linux" - it is your duty to write Linux when you mean Linux.-

Vad fan? (vikingkong@misskey.vikingkong.xyz)'s status on Thursday, 31-Oct-2024 23:11:56 JST Vad fan? DT's take on Linus Torvalds' statements about banning Russians from contributing to the Linux kernel (yes, I still watch his videos every once in a while): a total and complete clownshow. Well said DT, respect.
