   as someone that writes more c than shell, posix kinda hypes me a lot (a lot of posix is just what libc should just... have, but doesn't for some forsaken reason)

     @navi @domi @toast Meanwhile I mostly come from shell and so ended up writing https://hacktivis.me/git/cross-unix-documentation/files.html (which I should update, realpath is POSIX now \o/)

     @ljrk @domi @toast @navi Well it's also that my concerns are only the open-source Unix-like systems so Linux/*BSD/illumos/Haiku/… while AIX/HP-UX/Solaris/… are dead to me except maybe for the History section.

     And pretty sure I'll document things like stat(1) which is stuck with having two different set of formatting options between BSD-derived and GNU (mostly because I intend for my userspace to implement both, so I'll already have the manpage anyway).

     @lanodan @domi @toast @navi Kinda funny how POSIX started out from/as an attempt to document similarities (XPG) but now has become a standard so slow-moving that there are attempts to do the same... outside of POSIX.
