     @lunarised I need to listen to more Guthrie. Ive only heard his stuff on Steven Wilson records and that is also fantastic

     @karna Guthrie's pretty dope but I do find his stuff a bit grating at times... which is normally when I put on a new buckethead album. Fantastic guitarist though! I'm just not developed enough in my listening abilities to get it all the time

     @karna I'm a big prog and jazz guy, but when it comes to accidentals and non diatonics I can get a bit grated. I like them occasionally, but if a bunch are strung together, it sounds off to me. It's purely a me thing that I'm trying to get over

     @lunarised grating in what way? Every time I hear his solos on the Hand Cannot Erase album I get goosebumps. I think Steven reigns him in just enough to be overly technical while still staying in the prog sphere (I'd post my FLACs rn but they are too big :pensive_cowboy: )
