     since blob.cat is a small instance, people who join and dont already follow a bunch of people, would have a hard time to connect to others...
     i usually recommend joining a instance with more active users, follow people you like and after a while move to a smaller instance (like blob.cat)

     @1ts0nly4stro@blob.cat @Jain@blob.cat https://kitty.social is one I personally use, though I'm not sure if you want something like Misskey. https://labyrinth.zone is another fairly vibrant Akkoma community, which has some cool peeps there, but I don't have an account there.

     @Jain@blob.cat @1ts0nly4stro@blob.cat Both seem more active in my experience, though. I regularly posts from labyrinth.zone users, and kitty.social regularly has multiple people at once :drgn_think:
