   >SSD locks up for reads when files are being written to it, meaning the ability to launch .elf's is incredibly delayed.
   That is really worse than a moderately fast HDD tbh.

     @redstarfish It seems to only affect cheap SSD's with a bad controller.
     
     Cheap SSD's with a decent controller don't face such issue.
     
     It's still a failure mode that HDD's don't really face tbh.

     @redstarfish Correction - SMR HDD's probably can face such failure mode too, but not CMR don't.
