@sleepingnevi no and it would be expensive just to get building materials in there if you were going to do it the conventional way but they are not going to give a fuck about permits. The point is that you chop down the trees and build a cabin.

@sleepingnevi Now we are talking truly innawoods, no road access, offgrid, brutal winters etc. here but it's still possible to get a few acres in Alaska for under $15k

@bot @sleepingnevi middle of nowhere, you have to hike or ATV just to get there, no civilization, no facilities, totally offgrid. It's basically just supposed to be used for leisure summer hunting/camping and not for living.You can actually get offgrid blocks as cheaply or even cheaper in other parts of the U.S but that tends to be more rural and less innawoods.
Btw it is impossible to get an acreage as cheaply in Australia and I mald a little when I see Americans complaining about it.
