     @mischievoustomato @tadano I have ideas about fixing CPU usage. But how did you get that message posted 4 times? Did you press "Publish" repeatedly?

     When the lag happens, I can see 4 postgres processes using 100% of cpu among them (so, like 50-60% each). Essentially slows mitra to a crawl :(

     @mischievoustomato it must be considering you posted this four times. I find federation somewhat slower in Mitra, going off subjectivity, but I've never had this degree of lag. Remind me of your server setup again? I only remember you built from source on Fedora

     @mischievoustomato @tadano This is likely caused by a big number of expensive SQL queries running at the same time. Easy to fix, but let's collect more data first.

     I guess this is what Idempotency-Key header is for. I'll implement it

     @silverpill @tadano it should also be noted that it's postgres that eats cpu, not mitra itself.

     @mischievoustomato Specially for you: Mitra v3.8.0. It should fix the issue with repeated posts.

     I also made some optimizations, so overall performance should improve, but didn't touch the replies collection endpoint yet.
