@Suiseiseki @meowski better to download the content if you're going to watch it at all, store it and use whatever player you like. I believe MPV streams from youtube unless I'm mistaken, and in any case this way you can use whatever video player you'd like.

@realman543 @Suiseiseki @meowski mpv just outsources it to ytdl(p). Or at least for extracting the URL, I'm not sure if it then loads it directly or if ytdl does that too and just pipes it over.
