accessibility features are important for those who are affected, but sadly are forgotten most of the time. i wish there be a time where games without them would be the outlier instead of the norm
i mean, even if you are not affected by it, they are still nice features to have. i sometimes do enable some of them, not because i need them, but because they do improve the game expirience for me. most basic example are subs. or sometimes even colourblind modes, when the default picked colourscheme is really bad in itself
i mean, sure, many do thing of the basic stuff like colour blind and deaf features, but sadly do implement them pretty badly (like basic filters for colourblinds, instead of true colourblind modes, or basic subs but only for the most basic dialog and not including noises and stuff like that, let alone in a format that is easily readable). it does feel like its an afterthought in so many games, which it really shouldn't be.
@puniko I don't think most people even know of that particular feature. (I didn't until I read that, but it makes sense now that I know about it.) I am sure most people can think of color blind or deaf features (even if they don't add it), but there are a lot of niche accessible settings I think people don't know or think about just because they don't know they are a problem.
