   while atheros hardware theoretically is capable of per-vif (even per-packet) txpower adjustment it does not work with the current atheros hal/madwifi driver

     @ge0rg My APs are running IPQ4018 SOCs with some sort of atheros drivers.

     Last time I've heard "madwifi" was almost twenty years ago, didn't the driver lose relevance with the in kernel 802.11 stack in the late 2000s?
