     @lucy @schappi I think an online social medium needs a reasonable amount of gatekeeping that still leaves room for lurking and controlled growth.
     The problem is a lot of the unspoken rules on Fedi are un-fun and not wise to uphold

     the social mores change in between each fedi bubble though. you get shouted at for not having alt text on some Masto instances. for some that's a bannable offense. while many other fedibubbles couldn't care less.

     @kaia @schappi @EmoIsDeadAndSoAmI real. it's all about the bubble and i like my fedi bubble. in general just stay away from mastodon instances and you're mostly good 🤷
