It’s not even AI. It’s just sophisticated tracking.
In 2003 I worked in a call center and my phone was how I punched in and out. I didn’t get paid until I was in the queue to take calls. Everything was tracked, including my bathroom breaks. And everything became a stat that went into my performance review without a human being involved. It was competitive meritocracy hell. I hated it. And it was spooky and it wasn’t machine learning or AI. It was just literally inhumane.
