   did YouTube get much worse the past few months for you as well? my recommendations have been filled with AI voice slob and shock content despite not being subscribed. maybe they do this for me because of my hacked ad-free client.

     @kaia not for me but also check your viewing history… I had my mouse pointer come to rest on a lame video which auto-played all the way through and then YouTube thought I’m really into twitch-streaming style game reviews for a bit.

     @kaia It has. Some ad breaks are long enough (90s) to have a 'Next' button instead of 'Skip'. I've had front page stuff be AI-gen slop, with fake music, art and voice suggested for me.
     
     This is why I don't use the official ways of accessing YT where possible.

     @kaia it is in fact your hacked ad-free client. if you use the regular website it recommends better videos based on what you watch. I stopped using my Piped instance because of this. Youtube without the recommendation engine is horrifying
