Building small solar powered radios (think #meshtastic, ISM-band, not amateur radio) to put in high-up places seems like the obvious and smart thing to do, but it turns out to be a giant pain in the ass even if you do it the "easy way".

The horizontal board between radio and solar works great for tree mounting with a screw gun. We are now running alternative frequency than the standard meshtastic nodes because of the noise
