I've given a read to Ben Dunn's new Blue Kendra comic. As per usual, Dun's art is.. a mixed bag, but overall, the comic was a fun ride.
It's basically Slayers with a dash of Conan. If that sounds good to you, look for it on Antarctic Press sooner or later.

@Neo_Dolus that panel looks a lot better.
antarctic press published a bunch of doujin comics in the 90s and I loved them.

@sun Like I said, his art ranges from meh to simi-OK, but his comcs tend to be fun at least.
Kendra included. It feels like the lovechild of D&D, Slayers and Conan. Which... is a bit incestuous, but it works.

@Neo_Dolus yeah that looks a lot better. I hate that the disembodied estate of a dead person can sue, but he should have known that would happen

@sun This comic started out as a straight up Red Sonja parody, but the estate threatened Dunn with a lawsuit, so he made some changes that made it feel more like the 90s D&D influenced anime like Slayers.
Personally, I think it's a good change.

@sun The irksome thing is Red Sonya is technically public domain. Though, Howard's original version was a Polish chick from the 1700s fighting the Ottomans and not someone who'd run into Conan.
Actually... she'd be a good NPC for a Lamentations of the Flame Princess campaign.
