寮 (ryo@social.076.ne.jp)'s status on Sunday, 07-Aug-2022 19:27:51 JST 寮 Monero goes up at a slow phase, while Haven goes up rapidly again.
Meanwhile, Pirate Chain, Dero, and Equilibria remain at the same spot, or otherwise go down.
Despite Jeff Berwick and the Crypto Vigilante guys making golden promises about the 3, despite saying that Haven is technically the privacy Luna (not anymore now that they've detached themselves from xUSD), and Jeff in particular having tried to undermine Monero a few times before (and then came back to it again each time).
Meanwhile, Jeff is still entirely into New Age, posts screenshots of decade old articles claiming like if it's right now, reports on farmer protests and food shortages that nobody actually on the ground in these areas have actually seen anywhere.
Loli frog spent lots of time in the Netherlands throughout her Schengen business trip, and has never seen a single farmer protest, and never seen food shortages anywhere.
Other friends in other European countries neither found any evidence of what he claims anywhere.
This is why I don't take them as seriously anymore.-

Wrongthink (wrongthink@cdrom.tokyo)'s status on Monday, 08-Aug-2022 06:16:00 JST Wrongthink @ryo I recall one report he says he’s dropping Monero because wokists are among it’s contributors. Although this is true of a lot of free software. And later he’s back onto promoting Monero. I wonder if they will keep promoting Pirate chain once or if Monero adopts zk-snarks. I haven’t touched the newer stuff myself yet because I follow the withered technology approach… and Monero is approaching a decade of existence :pepepopcornhappy: .
Also you can find Dollar Vigilante talks from 2020 and 2021 where he states “by this time next year there won’t be any food / almost everyone will be dead / the dollar will be gone / etc.” He’s giving best guesses but does not take into account that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Benefit of the doubt for now.

It was just 1 person within the community who went woke, and the community kicked him out promptly.
And he's promoting Pirate Chain like if it's his project, it's even the only crypto project he's mirroring to his PeerTube instance.

I remember, this is really no better than the planetfuckers "predicting" the end of the world, the end of snow, the flooding of the earth, the next ice age, and all the other outlandish claims they've been making since the establishment of the Disunited Nations. -

Who are you thinking of? If this is ErCiccione, then sure, he got vilified by the community and learned to shut the fuck up and maybe work on Haveno.
But more dangerous than him IMO is Justin Ehrenhofer, he's deep into the project and giving interviews where journalists call him part of the core dev team even though he doesn't code. He's a homosexual that has been seen mentioning that if crypto ends up being as White and male in the long term as it is currently then it's a bad thing, and that maybe code of conducts are necessary to fix that issue. I don't trust him.寮 likes this. -

I'm fine if somebody in the team is woke, as long as they don't try to force the ideology down to their users.
If we'd be avoiding all projects with wokies on the payroll, whether they push their ideology or not, then we'd all have to make our own everything, including hardware, software, cars, furniture, paint on the wall, doors and windows, walls, rooftop, shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper, and so on.
