     @trevdev I use wp.com - figured that if I were to pay someone to manage the backend for me I'd give my dough to the original team 😆.

     Imho the whole situation was a PR disaster. Maybe Matt had a good reason but this will only cause some panic and loss of trust in the ecosystem 🤔

     @nosherwan @liztai LOL Team Matt Mullenweg all the way, btw. I don't even use WPEngine and in my years of supporting WordPress I've always avoided managed hosts. It's always looked like a shitty money grab to me.

     @liztai @trevdev Yes, I agree this is a difficult situation. I would also side with the original team, but the people who lose are on the WordPress engine. They are the collateral damage.
