     @PurpCat Shortly before he fucked off to nostr, I've sent him a patch for a bug I accidentally introduced in my older patch that adds an option to reject gargron spam reports. He acknowledged it but never got around to merge it. Not like it matters anymore since I got the whole MRF upstreamed.

     @KuteboiCoder @bronze Alright so here's a whole rundown on the story.
     
     Basically Alex Gleason is this vegan coder who was uber canceled a few years ago for a blog post he made and for running Gab's Mastodon fork on his own sites:

     He became kind of famous in this side of the fedi for the Soapbox frontend, which was forked from Gab's code, and this would both become used for Poa.st and Truth Social (which he worked for briefly). Meanwhile, he had the trans community absolutely trying to destroy his project over this, mixed with his own "fuck you I'm doing what I want" behavior that led to friction with Pleroma, which was in part because of the second blog post I linked but nobody would admit this.
     
     Anyhow Alex was removed from Pleroma for various reasons (depending on whose story you believe it was either because of his views on the trans community or because he was abrasive) and he renamed his fork (which added in more Soapbox features) Rebased. The important part is that it was his fork and he was really the only dev of this. The whole idea of rebased is that it was designed to enable more features in Soapbox, and the idea of Soapbox was to make Fedi like Twitter.
     
     Last year like a kid with ADHD his special interest changed from fediverse to Nostr, he would meet Jack Dorsey IRL at an event, and he would abandon development of Rebased to focus solely on Nostr. Now Nostr has come under fire for it's userbase and is relatively unpopular here, but as a result his fork is abandoned.
     
     This made Graf angry and he responded to this news in Graf fashion which led to this.
