   saying anything meaningful on bluesky is so hard, you just don't get enough words! the only things you can easily post there are pointless nothings or snitty snipes. trying to talk about anything messy or nuanced just becomes completely impossible due to context collapse

     @CWSmith @eniko I stick my various fedi instances at 5000 mostly, but I'm pretty transparent that what I want isn't so much microblogging as LiveJournal Mk II.

     It's a limitation on micro-blogging really. Even at 500 characters it's difficult to get something complex across the divide without sometimes threading a few posts together.
