@sickburnbro My impression from healthcare acquaintances was that there was selection bias going on, i.e., after getting a bunch of "hard cases" going through their hospitals (because where else were "hard cases" going to go?) they convinced themselves it was a societal wide issue.
And a lot of *that* was derived from their god-complex that they're the saints keeping the sinners from health-hell. They believed their own bullsh!t and ignored the fact that their industry has been running a giant grift on the empire-proper for generations.

@NeoDelorean this wasn't the pharmas though - this was insurance companies. ( and essentially the government )

@sickburnbro Covid just made more people aware of pharmaceutical companies giving doctors kickbacks for pushing drugs on people.
I would be curious to see how much the demographic change in doctors plays into the decline of trust as well.

@EvilSandmich by the time the vaxx was out anyone who was looking at thing neutrally ( which some accounts on twitter were trying to ) - the only realistic answer was "high risk populations should maybe take it"
