Be careful what you say, otherwise I might follow your advice. 😬 🙃

I was tempted a few hours ago -- but quickly decided submitting a rough patch myself is the way better approach. 😄

If #LinuxKernel allmodconfig builds fail for you on #Fedora #Linux 41 or rawhide, you are not alone. I looked closer to make kcbench (my #kernel compile benchmark[1]) work again; and in the end submitted a kernel patch to start a discussion how to avoid the root cause, which is a openssl distrusting sha1signatures now[2]. https://lore.kernel.org/all/42aa307d7ffae1851b4a8787f5c276dd0b3beece.1728543368.git.linux@leemhuis.info/ Local workaround to make things work again: run 'update-crypto-policies --set FEDORA40' [1] https://gitlab.com/knurd42/kcbench [2] https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/OpenSSLDistrustSHA1SigVer
