@cell hey do you know tarot? my gut is telling me you should draw a card and be pleasantly surprised with its prediction for your future. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=evansir.tarotdivination click freestyle and draw one card. I'll clarify its meaning for you. sorry I can't do the divination myself, I just know when other people are supposed to do it.
@sarvo@cell both apps and cards are subject to the will of God. all the divination ive done and seen from apps just werks. a deck is better, but its superstitious to think theres something magical about cardstock.
@sarvo@georgia@cell magick 101 (oversimplification): everything is connected. Pull a card, throw some stones, bones or coins, or make a digital device throw some pseudorandom result, it's all the same, your choosing one from a myriad of possible states. The state of the mind is way more important than the method imo.
@sathariel@princess.wedding @georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @cell@pl.ebin.zone yes but it feels dirty to use transistors, I don't know how can I explain it but when using any digital method it feels like something is left out and as if you are rounding numbers instead of seeing it all, hence why I say it is smoke and mirrors, which are still real but also in some sense fake. It feels crippled when using that.
@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz @cell@pl.ebin.zone I don't share your view of god, it sounds like you are preaching, I know and I have felt and seen that door open many times, I wouldn't call it god, a more precise thing name would be just plain mind or if you want more refined terms unconscious, singular or collective, and the method matters because that's the medium that the magic that flows (lacking a better term) also takes shape.
Digitally is harder if not impossible to feel and come in contact with magic, you can still gasp and see things but it is just a small look at it with barely any feeling, it could be a message but you would be hearing just a echo or a part of the whole melody.
