Algot (algot@mastodon.art)'s status on Wednesday, 09-Oct-2024 02:21:29 JST Algot My server admin said we were updated, but I did not see any of the changes on my Web page until I did the page refresh. I suspect a fresh launch of the page would have done the equivalent thing.

What probably happened is, the server did upgrade, but the browser still had the old page content, and that was not compatible any more and stopped working (column refreshes, etc), and the "reload" you did replaced the old, now broken page, with the new, working one.

Algot (algot@mastodon.art)'s status on Wednesday, 09-Oct-2024 03:21:21 JST Algot Thanks.
I had not encountered any negative issues.
My comment was merely an observation about the need to get a fresh 'view' of the page. The same thing happens with all sorts of pages which make changes to normally cached information.
I've seen it on my own site's pages when I do things like image updates or JavaScript menu changes.
This behavior was not a surprise in the Mastodon context.
