If someone is vehemently against fedi search engines, you have to wonder... What are they trying to hide?
Usually it's something like this.

@privateger Then don't produce it.
I can't really think of a way to put it that's not combative, at least over text. I tell clients, friends, family, your only solution is to use social media with the understanding that what you post is public, and that there's no such thing as delete.
Maybe if someone starts fedi search engine, and doesn't back down the second they get harassed, people will adjust their behavior for the environment instead of demanding the environment be sterilized for them.
@r000t@ligma.pro I just don't want random stuff I post to be scraped by some dipshit.
@slightlyflightyone See, I'm of the opinion that the sort of discourse they displayed is unacceptable. Period.
Also, miss me with the "search engines cause violence" horseshit. It makes me want to work on one even more, just to show you that no, it won't.
@r000t idk bro, they clearly didn’t want that hidden and seem pretty okay with you and their followers seeing it
maybe get more comfortable with violence if you are establishing services that people are telling you will be used to facilitate it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
like, I get it if you genuinely had no clue, but please don’t play pretend as though you did nothing wrong and these people are
it just sounds like somebody trying to spin up narratives where you are a victim
@r000t I don't disagree; by tge way I tend to differentiate between Psychopathy (what you term hardware problem) and Sociopathy (origin in nurture, environment, or learned behavior), though perhaps it's a bit dated terminology.
Moot point, though. The end result will be the same - they will likely not seek treatment for their illness because they have an online echo chamber for support.
Do you see what I mean by 'social media' being a terrible thing for humans?
@r000t Give these people enough leash and enough foregiveness, and they *will* end up doing the sick, violent shit they dream up online. It's inevitable.
@neglesaks Oh, absolutely. There's no doubt about that.
What I'm saying is, this isn't a hardware problem. They were flashed with this.
@r000t I insist that these people are sociopaths.
@neglesaks Sociopaths cannot bond with *any* group at all.
This is definitely antisocial behavior, but it's 100% caused by the cult they're in. This is learned behavior.
