   Along the local irrigation canal, there is an Oracle Oak with acorns I wanted to collect. For some reason, I chose the hottest part of the day to go for a hike along the canal to get the acorns.
   Upon returning home, the thermometer was reading 99.7F

     @morph yea, it is the time of year for big temperature swings. Yesterday's high was 104F and a low of 59F.
