   Also. I need a US lawyer willing to answer questions for free. UNITED wouldn't pay my hotel room or compensation because it was a weather delay...but my bags got to the destination on the next flight. They could have got us out, delayed but not cancelled. The cancellation was their call, not weather. Right????

     @WearsHats I know that, but if the weather was good enough for the later plane to fly, then my flight could have gone. A whole plane full of the people they were supposed to bring could go with their own bags to the same destination as the flight that actually carried our bags....

     @Antiqueight They'll say no. That they had room for more bags in the cargo hold, but not people in the passenger compartment. You could fight it, but it'd cost more than you'd get back, which is what they're counting on. It really sucks, and the airlines have gotten progressively worse over the course of the last couple of decades.
