   bf adds front and back light to my biodad's e-bike today. instead of using lamps with battery, it will be powered by the central battery :BagThumb:

     @kaia I see no issue. LEDs are dwarfed by the motor, and saves having to charge auxiliary batteries.
     
     If I wanted to carry a bomb, it would be a VHF-only ICOM radio transceiver from a decade ago. For legal reasons, this is a joke.

     @oblomov I don't know how the controller works on this one, but usually the battery switches off if the bike is switched off. some lamps have an emergency battery inside that still works if the main battery is drained, but it's very small.

     @oblomov@sociale.network @kaia@brotka.st LED lamps draw, what, a couple watts? and e-bike batteries are typically north of 400 Wh, that's a lot of time to remember you left the light on
