     @rez @mattwiebe it is not mastodon we use! We implemented the same protocol that mastodon uses into WordPress! You can use it in every plan on WordPress.com or you can download the plugin to use in your self hosted WordPress!

     Remember too that only sites on wordpress.com on the high plans can post to mastodon.

     @rez Where did you get that idea? Free sites can opt-in to the fediverse. We do try to upsell you to a domain but you don't need it.

     And we contribute to Mastodon with @pfefferle reporting interop bugs 😅

     @mattwiebe @rez @pfefferle I tested out the free @wordpressdotcom #Fediverse integration & it left much to be desired. 😅

     However, I do recommend self hosted #WordPress blogs & those on the Business Plan (for https://wp.com) use the #ActivityPub plugin as you get more customization for your account, including a screen name.
