   the more money enables one to buy "democratic" power, the tighter the races will be, because the race becomes an auction: buyers struggle to get the seats, but without paying more than the minimum required.

     It makes me so angry that the senate and house races are this close every time. I know part of it is due to some incredibly voter suppressed states, but the bigger issue is the number of people in this country that simply don't even try to vote.

     It makes it very difficult for me to have any faith in this country anymore.
