She should not be allowed to vote.
It's not hyperbole. It's simply because she is so stupid she'll vote for anything, no matter how bad.
Unpopular opinion:
Stop talking about how Black Women vote and start talking about how Black *People* vote.
It's better to be UNITED here; and while it's true we are slightly worse at it -- still -- If everyone voted like Black *Men* we'd be also doing perfectly well.
Australia will go to the polls in May.
Which means it's time to remind the young people in our lives they should enrol to vote.
Voting is compulsory in Australia.
I believe that's a good thing, and I advocate everyone invest their time, attention, and critical judgement in making good use of their democratic right to vote.
It was hard won for some.
We should all revel in our collective power to decide who decides for all of us.
The most scary fact I have read this week:
In the 2024 US presidential election one third of US voters did not vote.
It was literally a choice between a convicted felon with a fascist agenda and a law and order candidate who wanted to defend democracy — and still, every third US voter did not care.
Apathy is the first step to ending democracy.
It's not a protest vote.
It's ensuring that what happens to Black men will also happen to white men and white women. It's eliminating the possibility of a split fate.
Again, I don't agree with the strategy. But it is not insane, ableism aside.
If a 2028 candidate asks for your advice, asking should they promise to work with MAGA, knowing now what you know about how this 10% of Black men voters would respond, what would you advise that candidate to do? Not rhetorical.
Leftists: I'm not voting, because the Left isn't Left enough.
The Country, moving more right, because Conservatives do vote.
It's okay to be adversarial towards politicians, we should be demanding more, and questioning them, but ffs be smart enough to choose your adversary.
