I have an irrational assumption that intermittent packet loss on ISP's side is something no mortal can fix

Most ISPs will not bother to fix a residential connection until several days later if it stops working totally. -

Have you, or someone you know, complained to an ISP about intermittent issues? How did it go?

翠星石 (suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com)'s status on Wednesday, 25-Sep-2024 19:57:36 JST 翠星石 @wolf480pl The same thing happens if the connection is a business one, at the business pay rate, except at a location zoned as residential.
A business at a location zoned as a business area seems to have a slightly better response rate.
Dedicated links seem to be much more expensive and usually basic service like; "fix the connection promptly if it stops working" tends to be carried out.
I previously complained about a lack of IPv6 and got nowhere. -

Also how do you know they won't bother if you never tried complaining?
