@DarkSheepArts Did the person who requested said proposal provide any sort of requirement list (what exactly the AI product is supposed to do) with justification (why an AI product is needed for that)?

Were this to happen to me(*), I'd take the money angle and dutifully write a spreadsheet with the left side labelled "costs" and listing how much the tool would cost in both upfront and recurrent spending (including, yes, all indirect costs such as insurance for potential damages etc), and the right side labelled "benefits" and conspicuously empty.
(*) I *did* get a "how about about using blockchain?" question a few years back. For an embedded device.

I think it's got big risks in terms of churning out other people's stuff without attribution (since they aren't able to be very transparent about where they got their training data), or being a massive vector for cyberattack (since it's essentially a computer with connected keyboard and mouse, that is attached to our network.)
My sympathies on the blockchain question!

Granted, both can be mitigated by paying spin doctors and/or lawyers, but still...
