   Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran seeks lasting peace and security in Ukraine for both the people of Ukraine and Russia and urges parties to immediately cease military hostilities. He added that Iran supports all peaceful solutions and believes that dialogue is the only way to resolve this 'crisis'.

     No, they see things falling apart and don't want to lose their patron. Iran depends on Russia.

     @HistoPol as president he seems to try to do whats right, and not only about the war, but its one of those countries where there are many other elements pulling strings. I dont think he is in condition to turn the country around suddenly
     (and unless he is saying one thing and doing another even for what concerns reforms in his own country, he might not last long)
