     It doesn't get better by itself. You can make your life better with a lot of effort. Usually this means swimming against the current.

     Don't try to improve the lives of anyone but your family. And by family I mean your wife and kids, and then as a distant second your parents and siblings, and only if they cooperate.

     Often the biggest problem in people's life is where they live. No jobs, high cost of living, crime, terrible weather, etc. Moving around the continent a couple times where my best decisions and made the biggest positive impact on my life.

     @gentoobro It takes all the effort I have not to make anyone else's life worse. I can't imagine being able to make anything better for anyone.
