We are happy to share that today the Social Web Foundation launched with a mission to help the fediverse to grow healthy, multi-polar, and financially viable. We are looking forward to continuing to support the work that @evan@tomcoates@mallory are planning in the new non-profit foundation for expanding and improving ActivityPub and the fediverse. We are delighted that to the Foundation will be becoming a W3C Member.
@admin@w3c@tomcoates@mallory it does link to the Fediverse profile @swf. However, that just redirects to the main page because I did a bad job configuring the ActivityPub plugin for our WordPress site. I'm going to try making it work better over the next few days.
@w3c@evan@tomcoates@mallory Uhh...so why does the footer of that site link to Twitter and Meta but NOT to any Fediverse profile? How the hell does this org expect to be taken seriously talking about "increasing use of the fediverse" when they don't even use it themselves?
