The oil barons, pig cops, and demogorgon politicians would rather us despair and wither in isolate than dare to dream of something better, something obvious that even a child can see! Doomerism is reaction, because so long as we still breathe and live and dream we can still fight! Cooperation, international solidarity, equity and sustainability, these things are well within the realm of possibility if only we are brave enough to seize upon it, to build that new world and show it to be possible! And it is! And we must!
The global revolution will NOT be stopped by their bombs or bullets or bulldozers! We will fight for tomorrow, we must! We will fight for the oppressed and the exploited, for the forests and the seas, ours is a fight for the future itself! Solidarity! Onward! SOCIALISM OR BARBARISM!

ᔅᑕᕐᐗᓪ (starwall@wizzzard.online)'s status on Tuesday, 24-Sep-2024 05:07:38 JST ᔅᑕᕐᐗᓪ The fight against climate change, and the growth demanding economic mode called capitalism, is existential. TAKE HEART IN THIS: The system of imperialism, competition, and capitalism is far from inevitable. It is fragile, and cracking. A new world is being born! We will pick up what was left by the trail, we will forge new, harmonious ways of life with ancient wisdom and modern brilliance all the same. The alien state of things under industrial capitalism is far from natural, far from sustainable. It is destroying the very world, yes, but it is not done and for so long as we all still breathe and dream it will not be.

ᔅᑕᕐᐗᓪ (starwall@wizzzard.online)'s status on Tuesday, 24-Sep-2024 05:07:39 JST ᔅᑕᕐᐗᓪ So called environmentalists cannot imagine civilization living in beneficial coexistence with nature. This is a failure of imagination. For thousands of years, societies lived not only in harmony with nature but actively contributed to the wellbeing of ecosystems to which we are a part. It is a total failure of imagination to think that we can not do so again. Short sighted exploitation of nature pushing natural systems and relations into a position of collapse is not an inherent quality of humanity but rather the result of a system of incentives--global capitalism. We can set up a system of incentives otherwise, a sustainable and co-beneficial system is possible. Humans are clever and nature is resilient, but so long as capitalism continues to exist, the antagonism will remain.
