Can someone suggest me a graphical #IRC client where channel buffers remain unread if I do not click them myself, even if I close the session and restart my client.
As of now I have only found #Smuxi to be the one doing that, however it has a limit for number of messages it can log and there's no option to change that.

@fury999io The only thing that I can think of that will offer that feature is hexchat running over a server via a remote xorg session, via xpra so you can disconnect and reconnect without hexchat closing.

It would be great if Smuxi was written in a free language and you could just edit the source and change the limit for number of messages, but of course not.

@Suiseiseki That's a good idea, I will try. But I hope that the remote xorg session won't lag.

@fury999io A Xorg session over a LAN doesn't lag horribly so (I am extremely sensitive to latency), although over the internet it will lag.
