SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Saturday, 21-Sep-2024 15:40:05 JST SlicerDicer @sun The real question is why would they do well with the low taurine count in cows milk.
Human milk has far more taurine though so would the cause the same effect. I have no idea but yeah.
Without taurine cats get really messed up.Sick Sun likes this. -

picofarad (picofarad@noauthority.social)'s status on Saturday, 21-Sep-2024 17:25:44 JST picofarad @sun one of my cats eats cake and donuts and i feel it would be rude to not offer her milk. two of the other ones will fall down around you if you open cheese anywhere in the house, in the hopes that you either slip and die or step on them and feel bad, either way they feel like cheese is the result of both. One's favorite food is raw hamburger.
I give them the most filtered water i can (not distilled) and I have a permanent boycott against nestle products, so they get decent enough food, too.

I might be wrong, but I think kittens are fine, they get intolerant as they grow older. But yeah, it gives them really bad diarrhoea, I don't even know how dairy became such a stereotypical "cat treat" — I often have trouble explaining this to older people, it's too deeply rooted.Sick Sun likes this. -

KK954 (kk954@nicecrew.digital)'s status on Saturday, 21-Sep-2024 23:53:20 JST KK954 My cats love milk and cheese. If you want to be safe buy goat's milk and dilute it with just a bit of water. Goat's milk is better for a young kitten also. Sick Sun likes this. -
