     @bot @anemone I wrote a really dope statistical analysis plugin for excel on a dare once and released it AGPL3 and out of nowhere a few years ago found out some hospital used it extensively. They hounded me for a month trying to get me to change the license to MIT so they could bundle it with some shitty patient tracking suite they wrote for their urgent care centers.

     @bot @anemone at first it was a phonecall a day for like a week. They flew me down to San Diego for a week to pitch their idea and show me the team and code which was a hosted solution, and a director floated the idea of hiring me as a senior program manager for the whole thing.
     
     They offered a few more pitches for a "licensed supported" version and I declined.

     @bot @anemone they wanted risk management since agpl was toxic to their legal team. I'm sure all of this stuffs in sagemaker too by now. My NDA has expired so, they were trending mortality rates against outstanding patient balance sheets and correlating debt to profit based on inflated medicare prices.

     @bot @anemone to restate the obv: I am a Marxist. The AGPL was never going to change. If you need a death grip on an implementation of a 300 level stats class you can hire a data scientist.

     Marxist regimes aren't really known for caring about poor ppl and their suffering tbf, but if it was so trivial then I would've accepted payment for my work that they value for whatever reason.

     I don't think ppl are entitled to the labour of others esp at my expense. Unless they're forced to not be fat and forced to exercise and lead a healthy life, I could maybe get behind that.
