     @lispi314 @lewdthewides @freon Game mechanics can be subject to design patents in both Japan and the US and that is what is meant by this being a patent suit

     @freon it was hardly obvious. This is a patent suit, and has nothing to do with the so-called copyright infringement that all the grifters were complaining about.

     @lewdthewides @freon I have no idea what Nintendo could have *patented* for a game that was reused/replicated by Palworld that will not be found trivial and obvious to any game programmer.
