   Once in a while I consider growing a beard.

   I once tried doing that for a few weeks, a long time ago. I remember disliking how it made my face feel stiff. I've heard enough positive comments about beards from an important demographic that I'd be willing to give it another go. And I'm unemployed at the moment, so arguably this is a good time to try it again.

   I'm worried about it affecting the fit of masks, but I'd probably be keeping the beard short.

     @foolishowl I've had a #beard for almost my entire adult life--more than fifty years. If I shave it off, my wife says I look like a serial killer, and people who've known me for decades will walk right past the beardless stranger with no recognition whatsoever. I used to be careless about keeping it trimmed, but I've become paradoxically more vain in old age, so I found a barber who cuts it the way I like it. I don't like shaving, and I don't like the feel of my bare face.
