   @captain_arepa No, it is not a good idea to use effectively static linking for everything.
   
   The package manager should handle dependencies properly, so you can just compile and install whatever software you want.

     Flatpak is a "good" idea, but the fact that a simple 16MB rss reader needs 1.5GB of space to be installed because fucking GNOME is a clear sign that something is not right... I can't tell exactly WHAT, but I truly believe something is not right... :akko_thonk:
