    Funny article on Notebookcheck https://www.notebookcheck.net/Microsoft-paves-the-way-for-Linux-gaming-success-with-plan-that-would-kill-kernel-level-anti-cheat.888345.0.html

Very good point honestly, if Microsoft starts blocking kernel access also for DRM softwares, this will no longer be a reason to use Windows.

Isn't this a reason to NOT use Windows?

Microsoft Windows kernel changes don't suddenly mean big things for Linux gaming
There's a lot of blog posts and news articles being written right now centred around Microsoft's plans for updates to Windows 11, and potential kernel changes, with some thinking this means big things for Linux gaming.

@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz I guess that's true. Spyware developers really love Windows for the shit they can get away with that wouldn't fly on any other OS.

@SuperDicq if you're a user, yes I wouldn't recommend to use windows, but producers of DRM software or companies that use DRM and anticheat and what not, enjoy the kernel level restrictions they can put in place, if that access gets removed that would be one less reason for them to lean on windows.
