   If buckwheat, multi-grain, etc pancakes were good they would be the default original recipe.
   
   But they're not, because they're inferior to the original.

     @feld SWMBO and I once tried making "paleo pot pie" with almond flour and other substitutes for the crust... We ripped the page out of the cookbook before giving it away to someone else who hopped onto the paleo train.

     @feld a galette (a savoury buckwheat crepe with cheese, ham etc) is amazing. Couldn’t imagine a sweet buckwheat pancake though
