     @WarnerCrocker Granting credibility to such a claim exposes how deeply uncomfortable the media are to conducting any kind of real examination of where white racism lives and breathes.

     This story should not be about debunking "the pets". Nor should it be about debunking false claims about the negative impacts of resettling legal immigrants.

     It should be about how these kinds of dark racist slurs are born into existence by regular white folks just gabbing over Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes.
