   Can someone explain to me why retroarch is seemingly hated by the entire emulation development scene?
   
   I'm not too deep in emulation drama so idk what is it about that project that makes people go anal

     What do you mean? You have to select the core. So if you choose puae, or citra, or dolphin, that's what's being used.

     @Meemoo I'm not an emu dev but I don't like retroarch because often they hide what emulator is doing the work behind the scenes, so extra research is required. Also bloat.

     I use retroarch. It's easy and it works. I don't give af about drama.

     I have it on multiple cpus in my house (I have kids), and I even got it to run as the front end of my Odroid Go Ultra (Not the greatest hand held, but I bought it because it was on sale).
