   I’m seeing a lot of pictures from #Threads accounts posted with autogenerated #AltText that is literally worse than nothing. The text will read something like, “Photo by [username] on [date]. May be a meme with one person and text.” (I say this is worse than nothing because (a) “May be a meme” is just hilariously bad and (b) it constantly credits photos to people who clearly didn’t take them.) Is this something that Threads just … does?

   Not trying to call anybody out, just curious.

     @Mewness I just tested a few images to see what Threads adds. All of mine came up with "Photo by Philip on September 13, 2024.". I don't know if your account has to be big enough to get the AI alt text, or if it gets it when a post gets enough attention, or if it always gets added (just later).
