If it goes Free to play, I'm refunding SO fast, they won't even know where the money went.
That would be massive disrespect to anyone that's already paid $30 for the game.😒

@BeAware I forgot it was released this year, it feels like it was so long ago... So now knowing this, I'm with you, I'd attempt a refund. It's not been a year since release and turning F2P is insulting. It was so janky and the gameplay didn't stick with me.
@Metal_Link facts. Plus, they've been a bit slow with updates.
It was released this year, but you'd hope with the bajillion dollars they made, they'd put it to use to satisfy fans pretty quickly.
This is just shitting on them even more.
@AterNox absolutely not. There wasn't enough there when I was playing it to be worth $30.
They've had 1 major update, but I doubt it added enough to change that much.
@BeAware@social.beaware.live you do not think you played the $30 worth already by now?
@AterNox depends on the development state of the game. Back when I bought it, if I would have known what I know now, I would have only paid about $15 for it.
It wasn't very complete and still isn't.
For comparison, I paid $30 for 2 versions of Minecraft. Minecraft is the most popular game in the entire world and has infinitely more content than Palworld in its current state.
I don't expect to pay full price for an early release game. I usually expect the price to be raised whenever the developers feel it's more feature complete. In this case, they've barely got the first major update out the door and are contemplating making it entirely free, which makes my $30 feel REALLY wasted.
@BeAware@social.beaware.live how do you evaluate a survival game then to figure out the cost per hour?
@AterNox yeah, everyone's experiences are subjective, but I felt like there should be a different "tier" of gameplay if that makes sense. Like at some point, I feel I should need the best of the best pals to defeat bosses, but it doesn't really ever feel that's the case.
An "endgame" that's a tad different from the core gameplay loop similar to how Minecraft progresses on after getting diamonds. You don't necessarily need to do much mining after that, if you don't want, yet in beta, that's all there was.
I quit Minecraft back then for the same reasons and would feel similarly screwed over if they'd made it free to play when 1.0 dropped in 2012.
@BeAware@social.beaware.live Really? I felt that I got my money's worth out of it. I do not think we will ever see another minecraft, I mean I bought it in Beta, my Kids copies over the years as it has increased in price and a Switch and ios copies, and I feel like they could have charged me a second fee at somepoint. :)
